Vehicle Description Ultra Rare !!! 1969 Ford Mustang E Concours built over 5 years.
Total disassembled and rebuilt with NOS or OEM parts where needed and could find.
Every nut and bolt taken out and either cleaned and refinished to factory finish or replaced with concours hardware and treated accordingly to MCA standards.
The complete wire harness was sent to a person who restores these for a living.
Every wire and connector was inspected for continuity and condition.
Fuel line replaced.
Brake lines and hoses replaced.
lighting replaced inside and outside.
Entire front suspension replaced except for coil springs.
Rear springs removed and taken apart, sandblasted and treated to the correct Ford finish / appearance.
New bushings and ubolts installed.
New shocks rear and front installed.
New fuel tank and sender installed.
After Market parts were used.
Sitting for over 20 years there was no way around it.
I kept as much original as I could.
250ci six cylinder was rebuilt by a local professional with 60
years experience.
C4 transmission rebuilt by local transmission shop with builder having 30
years of experience.
New torque converter installed also.
All parts under the hood are new, including a full Autolite encased battery, no fake cover and decals.
This Mustang has had 1,500 miles driven by me since resto.
I have not had to adjust one thing.
It runs just like a sewing machine.
All stock parts including points and condenser.
The only hiccup is after setting 5 minutes it has a longer restart due to heat buildup.
Paint, PPG Omni and European clear was used to apply this beautiful paint.
Being a concours build there are MCA requirements to be met.
The paint requires orange peel, possible thin spots of paint , a run if it happens and overspray on the firewall and under the wheel housings front and back.
These requirements have been met.
Most orange peel is removed thru wet sanding but left some visible.
As you can see in the photos this is a beautiful car.
Also with concours the motor parts must have correct markings which include stamping of part numbers, I.
D.
part number tags and or paint daubs.
The suspension has the correct paint daubs and marks as I was able to get a report for this from Ford database.

The reason this special edition was made:
The Mustang E was built to compete in the Mobilgas Economy Run which ended in the late 68'.
You may need to Google this as there is too much to explain.
It was an annual cross country fuel economy savings run.
Who could produce the best fuel economy car.
Profession drivers such as Mickey Thompson were used for this.
It was a serious contest for all manufacturers.
USAC governed the rules and required Ford to build 96 Mustang E's to qualify as a vehicle for customers to purchase.
Being the 60's and most were hungry for drag racing this edition was not very popular.
Only 50 sold.
Most hardcore Mustang enthusiast do not even know about this car let alone ever see one.
Mustang Times as mentioned in our article that this one of ours could be the last one in existence.
This car was featured on a Ford Performance.
com live video featuring Ford's top 23 vehicles since Ford has started building cars.
Ours was picked I assume due to it's rarity.

Just Google 1969 Mustang E and you will find our Silver Jade has been all over the world in the news.
One big classic car dealer is claiming to have one in the past as he leaves his add up after it sold but it is not a Mustang E.
It shows the Marti Report as a standard base fastback with six cylinder.
We do have a Marti report for our's and the original Ford sales receipt to document that ours is the real deal.
Basically this is a new 1969 Ford Mustang E.
It does have minor flaws as all do.
A small crack in the paint along with a small chip in the same quarter panel.
Rubber glass seals of course are aftermarket which have a hard time fitting as they are just a little too thick and make the trim fit not so great but good.
All new heater and defroster equipment but there is not a resistor reproduced so it does not work.
Aftermarket seat material does not fit perfect either.
The vinyl is fit to be snug and the foam is possibly a little larger than stock.
So there is a few seams being stretched.

I have taken this Mustang to one all Ford car show.
I was lucky enough to have an MCA National Judge judge my Mustang.
200 points given to start and points deducted as judged.
We ended up with an Award of Excellence for the show which means that I ended up with 3 points or less taken away.
So the flaws are there but they are not highly visible unless you know they are there.
