ELECTRONICS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR (Title 32)

As a ELECTRONICS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR (Title 32), WS-2604-11, you will be responsible for supervising workers directly or through subordinate leaders and/or supervisors in accomplishing of work. Major Duties - This is NOT an all-inclusive list:
Plan use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials on a week-to-week or month-to-month basis. Establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences and plan work assignments based on general work schedules, methods, and policies set by supervisor. Coordinate work with supporting or related work functions controlled by other supervisors. Determine the number and types of workers needed to accomplish specific projects. Redirect individual employees and resources to accomplish unanticipated work. Inform the supervisor of the need to revise work schedules and re-estimate labor and other resources. Participate with the supervisor in the initial planning of current and future work schedules, budget requests, staffing needs, estimates, and recommendations as to scheduling projected work. Investigate work related problems such as excessive costs or low productivity and determine causes. Implement corrective actions within authority to resolve work problems. Recommend solutions to staffing problems, engineering requirements, and work operations directed by other supervisors. Plan and establish overall leave schedules for subordinate workers. Determine training needs of subordinates and arrange for accomplishment Set performance standards and make formal appraisals of subordinate work performance. Initiate recommendations for promotion or reassignment of subordinates. Implement regulatory safety requirements and ensure that subordinates wear appropriate safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions. Prepare for and participate in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization, and command support exercises. Determine the sequence priority and time for the performance of particular operations within the limits of broad work schedules and time limits. Plan work operations of great scope, complexity, and administrative authority. Supervise work directly or through subordinate leaders and/or supervisors in accomplishing work. AREA OF CONSIDERATION:
The areas of considerations for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code 709), will be in the following manner and sequence, The FIRST area of consideration for this position will be all excepted permanent and indefinite temporary technicians within the ILNG. The SECOND area of consideration will be all current Federal Employees. The THIRD area of consideration will be all Federal re-employment eligible. The FOURTH area of consideration will be applicants willing to become T32 Dual Status Technicians and gain ILNG membership. The FIFTH area of consideration will U.S. Citizens. Military Grades:
Warrant Officer Only - May be Temporarily promoted until completion of Warrant Officer Candidate School (WOC) within 1 year. GENERAL
Experience:
Must possess experience or training which demonstrates that the candidate has the ability to organize assignments for subordinates, estimate material and manpower needed for specific jobs; able to explain manuals and work procedures; and to prepare production records, work records and reports. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
WS-11 Level - Must possess specialized experience for the WS-11 Level, which includes at least 36 months experience or training in utilizing principles, basic functions and application of theory of electronic systems or equipment; experience in diagnosing problems and determining needed repairs for malfunctions in electronic equipment or systems; experience in making mechanical repairs that required the use of precision measuring and calibrating equipment; experience in using complex test equipment such as deviation meters, complex special test panels, etc.; and experience which demonstrates the ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications, and publications. In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, must possess experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel; experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines; experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function; experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes; and experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
