INFORMATION RESOURCES SPECIALIST (Title 32)

As an INFORMATION RESOURCES SPECIALIST (Title 32), GS-0301-9, you will implement and administer the Information Resource Management Program within the organization network and manual operating environments. Major Duties - This is NOT an all-inclusive list:
Manage, evaluate, track, and assist information management personnel. Monitor overall information management manpower strengths, grade authorizations, and experience. Manage electronic records management and records life cycle program for supported organizations according to Air Force directives using automated management systems, instructions, and general guidance from higher headquarters. Administer electronic records structure, permissions, and storage. Prepare, review, and provide direction and guidance in support of electronic records management requirements. Serve as a consultant to all records managers in functional area for retention and disposal of records. Make recommendations for changes to the records disposition schedules and procedures. Serve as organization webmaster for all internet and intranet pages. Manage, coordinate, and implement local and higher headquarters policies and regulatory statues concerning content, format, and maintenance of web pages. Perform information systems/technology support tasks and functions to include, installation, configuration, management, and initial diagnostics of client information systems. Work with Customer Support to resolve information system deficiencies and problems. Ensure compliance with directives governing physical and operational security requirements for client information systems. Prepare and maintain publications and forms to include both paper and electronic current directives to include design, creation, maintenance, coordination, approval, and publication. Responsible for Information Management training to include determining training requirements, scheduling training, conducting training, and documenting training. Provide guidance and training concerning information privacy, confidentiality, security, disclosure, and sharing of information collected regardless of media. Develop and implement local guidance and instructions for following specialized mail handling procedures. Provide software application assistance to customers for commonly used office automation and telecommunications applications. Monitor the training status of personnel and ensure that supplemental and/or remedial training is accomplished. AREA OF CONSIDERATION:
The areas of considerations for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code 709), will be in the following manner and sequence, The FIRST area of consideration for this position will be all excepted permanent and indefinite temporary technicians in the Springfield Air National Guard at Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport The SECOND area of consideration will be all members of the Illinois Air National Guard. The THIRD area of consideration will be all those eligible for membership in the Illinois Air National Guard. Military Grades:

Experience:
Must possess experience, education, or training which provide a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration; Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
GS-09 Level - Must possess specialized experience for the GS-09 Level, which includes 24 months of experience, education or training in any position that required compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information; experience providing technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled; thorough knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures and practices of management; and experience developing administrative procedures. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the lower grade level in the Federal service in order to be considered for this position. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
