AIRMAN AND FAMILY READINESS PROGRAM MANAGER (Title 5)

As a AIRMAN AND FAMILY READINESS PROGRAM MANAGER (Title 5), GS-0301-11, you will serve as the family readiness and support services representative. You will provide guidance to the Wing leadership in the development and implementation of a family readiness and support program. Responsible for the overall management, control, and execution of a family readiness and support program. Apply knowledge of management principles, applicable laws, regulations, and National Guard Bureau guidance to family readiness and support programs. Provide analysis of the effectiveness and efficiency of products and services by gathering, interpreting, analyzing, and staying abreast of principles, policies, and program goals. Develop plans for an efficient resource management program and maximum support of service delivery to include resource center, equipment, funding, tracking, and computerized systems. Provide advice and assistance to accommodate family needs during full or partial unit mobilizations. Provide full organization program services during full or partial federal or state mobilizations, call-ups, and/or military support missions. Assess, identify, and determine program issues, trends, needs, program priorities, and program effectiveness through utilization of appropriate research methods and resources. Identify service member and family issues that require exploration, development, and resolutions and determine appropriate methods and resources. Use formal and informal needs assessment to ensure long-term proactive/reactive programs are available. Develop and prepare a variety of correspondence and other documentation to include, but not limited to, formal letters, position papers, reports, briefings, charts, and bullet background papers. Develop and present information for seminars, conferences, and orientation workshops as appropriate for service members, family members, and volunteers. Conduct briefings and training for family members and volunteers. Attend conferences, workshops, and meetings on quality of life family readiness, transition, and other support issues for purpose of receiving information. Attend staff meetings on a regular basis to report on program status. Maintain accurate records and databases to administer an organizational program. Design and establish marketing and public relations strategies to ensure target populations are informed of services and activities. Update newsletters to share information with service population. Plan and schedule work in a manner that promotes a smooth flow and even distribution. Coordinate plans and schedules with other organization managers and customers as appropriate. Assign work to subordinate employees based on organization priorities and consideration of difficulty and requirements of the assignments. This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties. GENERAL

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Experience:
GS-11 Level - Must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade, GS-09, in the Federal service in the normal line of progression for the occupation, AIRMAN AND FAMILY READINESS PROGRAM MANAGER. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
providing guidance in the development and implementation of a family readiness and support program; developing plans for an efficient resource management program; analyzing family readiness and support plans and resources; providing advice and assistance to accommodate family needs during mobilizations; identifying service member and family issues that require resolution; developing and preparing a wide variety of correspondence and other documentation to include formal letters, position papers, reports, briefings, and charts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the GS-09 grade/level position or equivalent in the federal service. OR EDUCATION:

To qualify based on education for the GS-11 level, you must have a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position. Experience:
Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of specialized experience and education. To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond two years by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. (Note:

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
