Task/
Responsibilities:
Candidates are to supplement permanent staff and perform assignments in
computer
system development and/or existing system modifications.
Perform structured COBOL programming for mainframe or distributed computer applications from written specifications with minimal assistance.
Perform basic systems analysis, program and system testing, program and system documentation, and system implementation.
Troubleshoot and debug runtime errors.
Access databases and provide any necessary specifications for design or modifications.
Provide project status reports verbally and in writing, as required.
Perform work in accordance with installation standards and procedures.
Required Skills:
COBOL code programmer with a demonstrated record of achievement in mainframe or distributed COBOL application development within the past year.
Expertise with an IBM mainframe application development environment, including DB2 and CICS.
Preferred, but not required skills:
SOAP/WSDL/XML
JavaScript and jQuery
HTML5 and CSSEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
