Want to be a part of our team?The Director of Quality and Commissioning is responsible for leading the team of Quality & Commissioning Managers who will ensure quality build / installation of our facilities and robust implementation of the commissioning process for all NTT GDC Americas (NTT GDCA) facilities.
This includes focus on successful safety, schedule, and budget.
Ensure execution of the process that is designed to identify and resolve issues early in the design and construction process to ensure reliability, safety, and cost effectiveness of NTT GDCA projects.
The Director of Quality and Commissioning will lead the team in quality & commissioning efforts and overseeing third-party commissioning agents as they are engaged in NTT GDCA projects.
Working at NTTESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESReports Sr Director of Safety, Quality and CxPrimary responsibility for AMER region Quality and Commissioning effortsEnsure quality program is implemented to include KPI's and continuous improvement such that repeat deficiencies are not occurring and are not impacting commissioning activitiesManage data center commissioning project delivery strategy in alignment with the road map strategy.
Develop, implement and ensure participation in the company Quality and Commissioning processesDevelopment of Quality / Commissioning Procedures and Standards.
Refines practices/policies and develops methods/techniques for driving solutions including development of quality / commissioning procedures.
Provide global oversight of the contracted Commissioning Agent assigned to a Data Center construction Projects in AMER region.
Perform / ensure site inspections are adequate to support execution of Quality and Commissioning process.
Regularly reviews Construction Progress, QA/QC, Commissioning progress, issues, and KPI metrics to report to management.
Coordinate meetings and activities of vendor project managers including integration of lessons learned.
Attend scheduled owner/architect/contractor (OAC) and other project meetings, and report as necessary.
Lead,, influence and performance manage a team of Quality / Commissioning personnelThis role requires regular on-site presence with travel locally within region.

7 or more years in a data center environment managing projects/operations including 5 years Data Center commissioning experience.
Extensive knowledge of Quality management systems that can be applied to data centers.
Data Center construction project management.
Very Strong experience in Data Center facility maintenance, operation and/or commissioning.
Knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical Test Equipment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to lift heavy equipment, up to 50 lbs.
Use of sight, hearing and voice are required as well as motor skills.
Close visual work on a computer terminal.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required to operate computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.
Ability to climb ladders and worked on raised platforms.
Ability to transition through construction projects at every phase safelyWORK CONDITIONSThis position is expected to be remote for the foreseeable future with occasional need to be on siteTypical data center work environment with varying temperatures and loud noises.
Extensive daily usage of a computer or workstation.
Travel up to 35%, to ensure quality, commission and deliver the project as client turn over dates require.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTSMust be comfortable working in a high stress, fast paced environment shifting priorities.
Must be willing to work outside normal business hours, including weekends, late nights, holidays, and on-call support.
Must be available by cell phone after hours or for emergency situations.
CPR/First Aid Certified.
Must possess a current, valid state-issued driver's license.
This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity.
A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.
NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc.
offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location.
Base salary for this position is $157,000 - $225,000.
All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
