Job Responsibilities The FAS will be field based, working with sales and global account teams to drive commercial performance through account strategies, identify customer needs, propose solutions, and drive top line growth.
Characterize the external market by performing pipeline analysis and competitive assessments for region and specific market segments Coordinate with Product Management to identify, communicate, and incorporate new service enhancements as well as with the Services team to insure we deliver competitive solutions that are differentiated through value as perceived by our customers.
Identify and develop scientific workflow-based solutions that provide a holistic solution to a client pain point.
Attend conferences presenting Lab as a Service Solutions.
Work with program management office, service delivery and product managers to ensure implementations are successful, repeatable, and scalable.
Deliver training of internal/external sales channels to drive sales activities.
Participate in sales calls for existing or new customers Develop presentations, support responses to proposals and create statements of work Ability to communicate clearly across functions:
product management, marketing, service delivery etc.
to ensure alignment of strategy and commercial plan.
Must be willing to travel 30% - 50% overnight.
Basic
Qualifications:
Associates degree 2
years' experience working in a pharma/biopharma lab sales Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree Understanding of GxP environments is desirable Customer focus and excellent communication skills.
Previous sales experience is an advantage, though experience in Lab environments and looking to move into a commercial role is welcome.
Comprehensive understanding of life science R&D workflows.
Ability to define and promote value added solutions for customers.
Capable of working in a matrix environment and adapting to quickly changing priorities Above average Microsoft Office Skills- Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word Other Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position more than 25% of the time.
The person needs to occasionally move between labs, corridors, adjoining rooms, and buildings onsite.
Frequently use objects, tools or controls, which will require regularly bending, squatting, stretching and reaching in order to perform in a service function.
Occasionally move or lift up to 25 pounds (potential for occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds).
Specific vision abilities required by this position include without limitation, the ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the instrument/equipment), distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus in order to perform the essential service functions of this position.
Occasionally operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
Use of personal protective equipment (e.
g.
, lab coat, safety glasses, etc.
) in laboratory.
