Ultrasound Technologist - Vascular (Sign On Bonus)

The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing sonographic procedures by the application of ultrasound to produce images under a variety of conditions.
Job RelationshipsReports to the Advanced Imaging Operations ManagerPrincipal ResponsibilitiesProduce quality sonograms.
Good knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
Identify pathology and provide physician with accurate measurements.
Know the capabilities of the equipment.
Operate dry laser printer.
Prepare sonogram films for physician interpretation.
Responsible for obtaining outside previous or comparison films.
Obtain complete history from patient.
Keep log of all patients.
Must be able to adapt to flexible working hours.
Use of computers and telephone required.
Comply with the Springfield Clinic incident reporting policy and procedures.
Adhere to all OSHA and Springfield Clinic training & accomplishments as required per policy.
Provide excellent customer service and adhere to Springfield Clinic's Code of Conduct and Ethics Standards.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
Education/ExperienceProfessional Affiliations:
American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (optional)Must have one (1) corresponding specialty credential that is pertinent to the work area specified:

For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Abdomen, Breast, Obstetrics and Gynecology) orB.
For Vascular Technology (Vascular (RVT))Licenses/CertificatesMust have active registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
(ARDMS).
CPR certification per American Heart Association guidelines within 30 days of hire.
Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesMust maintain professional behavior.
Must be able to adjust to various personalities and situations.
Must have the ability to control emotions and maintain composure under stress, using tact and good judgment.
Must possess manual dexterity to use keyboard and handle equipment and appliances.
Must be capable of pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, lifting and twisting.
Must be able with help to lift patient as needed.
Must be able to work with arms above head.
Must be able to wear lead apron for long periods of time.
Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time while using transducers for scanning.
Must be able to assist patient to and from the table.
Working EnvironmentWill be exposed to fumes from cleaning agents or x-ray film processor chemicals, in limited areas.
Will be exposed to conditions including exposure to blood and body fluids, tissue, contagious diseases and/or potentially hazardous materials.
Occasional heavy lifting required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
