The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the complete direction, supervision and management of warehouse operations, including sales, customer service, profit & loss, inventory management, and facility management.
The Warehouse Manager will maintain high levels of accuracy in day-to-day operations, lead and develop the warehouse team and provide impeccable customer service.
Primary Responsibilities Ensure an efficient warehouse operation to fulfill operational and customer demand.
Work effectively with other departments to ensure coordination of sales, inventory, purchasing and distribution.
Maintain inventory accuracy within the warehouse operations.
Investigate and implement corrective actions for inventory discrepancies.
Establish operational procedures for activities such as verification of delivery, handling and disposition of materials.
Work in conjunction with the Corporate Credit Department to track and manage accounts to keep receivables current.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
Recruit, manage, and evaluate warehouse personnel for optimum performance.
Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Safety and Environmental procedures and ensuring they are understood and practiced by the team at all times.
Skills Required:
Successful management experience including but not limited to:
leadership and motivational ability, time management and organizational skills, training, coaching and counseling.
Mathematical and analytical skills necessary to budget, forecast and evaluate warehouse performance.
Commitment to meeting the needs of a diverse customer base.
Knowledge of proper safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and warehouse best practices Proven successful management of material handling High level of professional integrity and customer service Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
Physical Job Requirements:
Lifting and/or moving tires weighing between 10 - 50 lbs.
with or without mechanical assistance.
Operate forklift as required with proper certification.
Environment is very hot during summer months and cold during winter months.
Frequent bending, twisting and lifting.
Bachelor's degree preferred in Business or Logistic, or Associates degree in business and/or requisite experience Ben Tire Distributors is proudly 100% employee-owned.
